The Timeless craft of Argan oil production
Known as Morocco’s liquid gold, culinary argan oil is a rare delicacy crafted with care and precision.
It all starts between June and August, as Amazigh women handpick ripe argan fruits. These are dried and carefully stored before depulping, where the fruits are cracked open to reveal the kernels.
Next comes the delicate crushing phase, preserving the precious almonds inside. These almonds are then lightly roasted over a low flame, releasing the rich, nutty aroma that defines this unique oil. Finally, the roasted kernels are ground into a paste, mixed with water, and pressed to extract every golden drop of this culinary treasure.
